Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward following a reported fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report at 3.28pm on Friday 14 February 2025 of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Kinson Road, near to the junction with Plassey Crescent.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a woman aged in her 60s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening. Her family has been informed.
It was reported that the vehicle involved, believed to be a grey Renault Captur, failed to stop at the scene.
Following fast-time enquiries, a vehicle believed to have been involved was located at an address in the West Howe area and a woman aged in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of driving offences.
Road closures were put in place as emergency services responded to the incident and enquiries were conducted.
Sergeant Gareth Thomas, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out a detailed examination to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch.
“I would also urge anyone who may have captured any relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.
“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures.”
