Appeal for information following thefts near Sherborne

Officers investigating thefts near Sherborne are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

At around 4.30am on Tuesday 18 February 2025 three motor cross bikes were stolen from a garage at an address in Bishops Caundle.

It was further reported that an attempt was made to steal a Ford Transit van from the address.

Police Constable Matt Robinson, of Sherborne Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I am appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or saw a white van travelling in the area between 9pm on Monday 17 February and 9am on Tuesday 18 February to please come forward.

“I am also keen to hear from nearby residents with doorbell or CCTV cameras or motorists with dashcam who were driving in the area and may have captured relevant footage that might assist our investigation.

“We are issuing an image of the bikes - two red Honda bikes and a white Yamaha bike - and would urge anyone who comes across matching bikes being offered for sale locally or online in suspicious circumstances to please get in touch.”
