Officers are issuing an image of a man they would like to identify as they investigate an attempted burglary at a home in Bournemouth.
At around 3pm on Monday 17 March 2025 the occupant of a property in Bexington Close – a woman aged in her 50s – was on the first floor when she heard movement downstairs. She then saw a man on the stairs who she did not know, who claimed to have been given permission to enter the property by someone else.
The man then left the property and headed toward Littlemoor Avenue.
No items were reported as stolen.
Police Constable Oscar Bryant, of Dorset Police, said: “This was understandably a very troubling incident for the victim, and we are carrying out various enquiries into this attempted burglary.
“I am issuing an image of a man we would like to identify as part of our investigation, and I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
