Officers are appealing for information to identify the victim of a reported assault in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report at around 11am on Wednesday 2 April 2025 from a third party who witnessed a man acting aggressively in the area of Seamoor Road in Westbourne. It was reported the man, who appeared to be intoxicated, kicked and punched an elderly man.
Officers attended to carry out enquiries, however it was reported that the victim had left the scene. No further reports were received in relation to the incident.
The suspect, a man aged in his 40s, was spoken to at the scene and his details were taken.
Police Constable Michael Wells, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and we are keen to identify the elderly man who was reportedly kicked and punched, so we can take his account of what happened.
“I would urge anyone with information that might assist our investigation to please contact us.”
