Vehicle crime

We have received a report regarding an individual trying car door handles near to Admirals walk on Westcliff Road at around midnight on Tuesday 5th August.

The majority of vehicle crime occurs from criminals seeing opportunities and taking them.

Leaving items on show is an invitation to the opportunist criminal. Mobile phones, satnavs and mounts, power leads, money, wallets, handbags, sunglasses, coats, jackets and bags should always be removed from the vehicle or hidden well out of sight.

Always lock and close the windows of your vehicle when you leave it unattended even for a short amount of time.
