Officers investigating a reported fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
At around 8.50pm on Tuesday 10 March 2026 a collision occurred at Cemetery Junction involving a blue Toyota Aygo and a grey Ford Kuga.
It is reported that the driver of the Toyota left the scene on foot.
The driver of the Ford – a man aged in his 30s from Poole – was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Police Constable Lauren Hobkirk, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “An investigation is underway to establish what happened and identify the driver of the Toyota who fled the scene.
“I know this incident happened in a busy location and I am urging anyone who witnessed the collision or moments leading up to it to please come forward.
“If you were travelling in the area and captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, please get in touch.
“Finally, I would ask the driver of the Toyota to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55260034315. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111. | ||
