Neighbourhood Policing Team
Verwood, Alderholt and East Dorset Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Policing Update
Here's a quick look at some of the work we've been doing this week to help keep our community safe and connected: 🚔 Three Legged Cross Officers have been dealing with a report of criminal damage to trees in the Three Legged Cross area. Enquiries are ongoing. 🚗 Speed Monitoring Speed monitoring and patrols have been carried out, concerns raised by residents about speeding vehicles in Vicarage Road , Verwood. We will continue to respond to community concerns and carry out enforcement where appropriate. ⚠️ Road Traffic Incident Officers attended a road traffic collision in Verwood involving a motorcycle and a car. Minor injuries were sustained. We would like to thank everyone for their patience whilst access to the car park was temporarily restricted during the incident. 📱 Mobile Police Station The Mobile Police Station visited Verwood today, providing an opportunity to speak with local residents, discuss community concerns, and assist people in signing up for Dorset Alert notifications to receive local policing updates. 🔒 Attempted Theft from Barn Officers would like to make the community aware regarding a break-in at a barn in Verwood where suspects attempted to steal a mini moto. The vehicle was dragged from the barn, however the offenders left empty-handed. If any members of the local community have any information please contact email Verwoodtown-NPT@Dorset.PNN.Police.uk 👮 High-Visibility Patrols Neighbourhood officers have carried out high-visibility foot patrols and mobile patrols across Verwood and the surrounding areas to provide reassurance and engage with the community. 🔥 Wildfire Prevention Patrols Patrols have also been conducted in areas where there is an increased risk of wildfires, helping to deter antisocial behaviour and ensure public safety during the warmer weather.
Thank you to everyone who has spoken with us this week, reported concerns, and supported our work. If you would like to receive local policing updates directly, please sign up to Dorset Alert and you will receive a weekly police update.
