Verwood, Alderholt and East Dorset Neighbourhood Policing Team WEEKLY UPDATE Here's a quick look at some of the work we've been doing to keep our community safe and connected Conducted Safe and Well Checks in the Three Legged Cross area, providing safeguarding support and reassurance to vulnerable members of the community.Carried out stop searches relating to suspected cannabis possession, supporting ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related activity within the local policing area.Responded to reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) at Lidl, undertaking patrols and conducting enquiries to identify those involved and reassure local residents and businesses.Conducted targeted patrols in Alderholt focusing on the use of electric bikes, addressing community concerns and engaging with riders regarding safe and lawful use.Located and seized a stolen moped in Wimborne. Enquiries remain ongoing to identify those responsible and progress the investigation.Attended and assisted with neighbourhood disputes in Verwood, providing advice and reassurance while conducting additional patrols in affected areas.Actively promoted and supported Community Alert sign-ups, encouraging residents to receive timely crime prevention and policing updates.Completed foot patrols in Potterne Park and across Verwood, providing reassurance, engaging with local residents and addressing community concerns.Conducted shoplifting patrols and investigative activity at Morrisons, working closely with store staff to reduce retail crime and identify offenders.Increased patrols in the Morrisons car park in response to reports of anti-social behaviour, maintaining visibility and deterring further incidents.Continued high-visibility patrols around Costa Coffee and Verwood Park, addressing community concerns and providing reassurance to residents and visitors.Community FocusNeighbourhood officers have continued to maintain a visible presence across the area, engaging with residents, businesses and partner agencies to address local concerns, reduce anti-social behaviour and support ongoing investigations.
