Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward following a fatal collision in Wareham.
At around 11.50pm on Sunday 11 October 2026 a collision occurred involving a red Citroen C1 on the A352 Wareham Road.
Emergency services attended and very sadly the driver of the Citroen, an 18-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.
Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond and for an examination of the scene to be carried out. Sergeant Leanne Howes, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the man who sadly died in this incident.
“We are carrying out a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I am keen to speak with any witnesses who have not already had contact with police.
“I would also urge any motorists with dashcam who were in the vicinity at the time to please check their footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online, via email at scit@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55260159797. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111. | ||
