Off road bikes are being ridden illegally and anti-socially around the estate causing distress to local residents

Planned action to tackle this issue:
- Targeted high-visibility patrols at key times (local officers and specialist teams)
- Robust enforcement action where possible including warning notices and vehicle seizures
- Partnership working with Dorset Council and other key agencies

- We seized an off-road motorcycle linked to the anti-social / illegal use of vehicles in the area
- We have continued targeted patrols of the estate

- We have arrested an individual and seized a number of e-bikes/motorbikes linked to the ongoing issue

- Targeted patrols of the Corelli estate continuing at key times
- Incidents are still being reported and local officers are following up by making relevant enquiries to identify those involved

May update:
- Local residents have provided us with some excellent CTCV footage of incidents, which we have reviewed and identified some offenders. The footage will also assist us in prosecuting the offenders for road traffic offences
- We recently seized a motorbike due to being driven recklessly
- Targeted patrols of the Corelli estate will continue

Shoplifting

Location:
Peel Centre, Babylon Hill

Issue:
There has been an increase in shoplifting to local businesses at the retail park causing harm to staff, customers and the wider community

Planned action to tackle this issue:
- Targeted high-visibility patrols at key times and locations
- Multi-agency working with Avon & Somerset Police and the local Town-Link scheme
- Dedicated policing operations

- We held a meeting with the retail crime lead at Avon & Somerset Police to coordinate our joint response to this issue
- Officers continue regular targeted patrols of the area
- As part of the national Safer Business Action (SaBA) collaboration, we have some proactive plans in place with a focus on crime prevention and engagement with retail staff

October update:
This issue remains a priority for the team due to ongoing reports of retail crime
- We have continued our regular targeted patrols of the area
- Working alongside colleagues in Avon & Somerset Police to target specific individuals and find long term solutions
- Our retail crime investigations are now being managed by a dedicated team to ensure we have a clear oversight and structured response

- In the last month we have worked with Yeovil police to arrest a repeat offender who has been recalled to prison and we have identified another prolific offender who we will deal with robustly

- We are making proactive enquires to locate a wanted suspect involved in theft offences
